Head of Sales - EMEA
Ohly is one of the world’s leading suppliers of yeast extracts and culinary powders, using state of the art research and application centers. Combined with factory linked pilot plants and a wealth of expertise, Ohly develops new products that provide solutions to the changing market demands. We are now looking for a proactive and experienced Head of Sales leading our operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from the headquarter in Hamburg, Germany.
The role will work closely with and report to the Global Sales Director.
The main objective of this role is to drive sustainable and profitable business growth within the EMEA region with a special focus on the EU region. The role is dynamic and will expose you for an array of tasks, from strategy implementation to teambuilding. As our Head of Sales EMEA, you will have the overall responsibility for increasing sales and develop the regional markets in close cooperation with our main distributors and international key accounts.
You will be a visible player in a growing company with highly competent colleagues. Your international customers and distributors will appreciate your presence at a variety of events and meetings, and your sales team will acquire your coaching and leadership. We need you to build our future key account management culture with focus on new ways of working and new collaboration models. As Head of Sales you will interact with top management in Ohly and with your customers.
The Head of Sales – EMEA has the following responsibilities:
- Develop a regional growth budget and strategy plans to implement target market applications, functionalities, and customer segments.
- Build long-term relationships with clients and distributors, translate their needs and manage their expectations to ensure sustainable growth for both parties.
- Lead your technical service team and involve them in customer discussions in order to acquire customer projects and product adaptations.
- Lead your commercial team to develop client or distributor specific business expansion plans, promotion plans and project pipelines
- Execute commercial activities towards selected customers negotiating tender and contract conditions to meet both client and company needs
- Assessing and prioritizing the customer opportunity pipeline and CRM documentation to deliver growth and profitability targets
- Responsible for arranging client product training sessions in cooperation with Ohly Innovation and technical service, and ensure in-depth product knowledge for own sales team and foster their ability to sell value added products.
What we expect:
- A bachelor degree in business, sales management, marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solutions selling including the responsibility for sales to key accounts
- Leadership experience of sales team preferably from international product sales
- A proven track record in professional negotiations and contract closing
- The ability to work closely with different stakeholders in an international environment
- Well-developed business insight in combination with a commercial mindset
- A people manager with the ability to enthuse and convince own team and customers.
- You are fluent in English and German, both written and oral. Other language skills are an advantage, but not required.
